Tai exclusive photos

These photos were taken on rainy April 22 and too blurry because of the weather. I won't be uploading them to flickr but are too funny not to show. I'll be putting more of my non-flickrs photos here as an exclusive.

So how did Mei get from her position in the top pic to the ground? Did she fall or somehow manage to climb down??

These photos were from April 22 and it was raining. She didn't fall on this day but it was the next day that she climbed on and broke a branch and I heard a loud sound. It sounded like Tai but people were saying it was mei.

love the pics Frances. Esp Tai playing patty-cake on mommy's head.

And she looks crazy hanging upside down, like a bat. Must have really impressed her little boy.

Please let me know if any of you are bothered by my occasionally advertising my blog.

I only do it when I have a panda posting.

Which I do right now, starring one of the Wolong babies.

I don't want to offend anyone, and will stop advertising immediately if this bothers anyone.

Please let me know. Thanks.

I love your blog!! you are always welcome to post it here and also to the group. I often visit your log to see if you have any new panda funnies to post a link to the group. So whenever you have something new, please do post a link to it on flickr and here.

I certainly don't mind your advertising your blog. If it involves pandas, it's legit as far as I'm concerned. Where'd you get those totally adorable pictures?

At 11:35 PM, Blogger ffleur said...

Thanks you two. I really appreciate you coming to visit my blog and enjoying the pictures and stories.

So in future, when I have a panda posting I will let everyone know without worry of offending.

Thanks!

Tai's playing head bongo on his mom! Those photos are way too cute!

ffleur, Wan Wan is the name of the Wolong panda who has his own blog. The blog is updated on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays Japan time. Wan Wan's mom is Mao Mao and he was the last one to be born at Wolong in 2005.

You can find links to the blogs of people who have account with blogger by clicking the name to go to the profile page anyway. No rocket science there. You're supposed to network.

Bleary eyed, fuzzy brained, sleep deprived, caffeine needy, I stagger to my computer to be gloriously awakened to the day by these hilarious images captured by Frances on a rainy day. What a kickstart to a good day. Thanks Frances for these and all the others. I could never choose a favorite but I lean to the those where the two respond to the others actions--especially when Mei does something childish to the utter amazement (and probably horror) of her cub.

Oh yes, and Fleur, thanks for the heads up about your delightful and much enjoyed wolong kid posting.

Same here Ffleur! I love your pink donuts! A heads up to visit is just fine by me!!

Frances, as always, love those shots blurry and all. Esp. the one where Mei is rolling down the hillside. love it when she does that!

Lovely pics, Frances. This past week's rain has made everything so very green. It contrasts so nicely with the pandas black and white.

I love Pink Donuts, too, ffleur; you do a great job with that blog. And I am not surprised that Frances does not object to you mentioning it here, because Frances, unlike SOME PEOPLE WE KNOW, is not an insecure paranoid schizophenic. On the contrary, she's Saint Frances!

Great shots Frances! Love Mei hanging her huge self by her feet - poor Tai - he must hate it when Mom gets THIS silly!! I guess she's as silly as we are (the we referring to us total nutbars in the panda asylum!).

Love having you tell us you have a panda story ffleur - we do not want to miss anything-panda! We are normal, well-adjusted panda kooks unlike other meanie panda kooks!

How lovely to wake up (and like Francesd immediately check out our pandas) and read these supportive notes from my fellow panda kooks.

Thanks so much. You are very generous.

Frances I'm not long home from work after a particularly trying day. I checked out Tai (and saw him climb down the sycamore tree for the first time 'live'), then checked out here. The photos are wondeful and I can't stop smiling.

Ffleur I love your panda stories and have even been known to use them as a pick me up.

For those who don't know, Kathleen's husband, Christopher Warnock, is a Renaissance astrologer in Washington, D.C.

Mr. Warnock is available for traditional electional and horary consultations and specializes in Renaissance astrological magic. He can be reached at (202) 234-6756.

Renaissance horary astrology answers questions, e.g., "Where is this Relationship Going?" or "Should I Sue?" with predictive precision. By casting a horoscope for the moment of the question and applying traditional techniques, concrete and specific information can be obtained on almost any topic. Renaissance electional astrology is used to choose the best times to take action, e.g., "When Should I Get Married?"

For a small fee, Mr. Warnock provides a 2-3 page written horary analysis of your question, plus all relevant astrological information, including a chart of the question.

"What I find fascinating about the traditional mix of spiritual and mundane, religion and magic, is that it works! I practice a combination of astrological magic and New Orleans style hoodoo, the folk magic of the American South. I use traditional (pre-1700) astrology to choose auspicious times and create an astrological talisman at that time. As part of the creation of the talisman I burn an appropriate colored candle (e.g., green for money, white for blessings or purple for wisdom) burn incense and pray. Usually I will say a Psalm and I particularly like the 23rd Psalm (The Lord is my Shepherd...)." -- Christopher Warnock

It's a small world! Thank you, Justobesure.

However, just to be straight up, please be assured that I in no way expected or was connected this plug for my husband's business. Chris loves both renaissance astrology, and pandas too.

Chris' final word on Butterstick is that he's a "pesky miracle," :), meaning that he is, as DM expresses so well artistically (see below), that dear Butter is a wee angelic miracle of creation, but with a sharp nose for mischief.

P.S., And as far as panda fun goes, we prefer to offer pro bono (i.e, free of charge) service. We posted Butterstick's horoscope on PF many moons ago, and will do so again as Butter's solar return (1st birthday) approaches.

Kathleen, how adorable! Your hubby did Tai's horoscope? Do you still have a copy of it? I'd love to read it.

At 8:47 PM, Blogger Kathleen said...

Well, since the issue has arisen, here's a link to dear Butter's horoscope, calculated by dear hubby, as published (believe it or not) in Wonkette, before this Washington, DC political blog stopped its extensive Butterstick coverage (much to the readers' chagrin):

http://www.wonkette.com/politics/horoscopes/index.php

(see the second entry)

As Butter grows older, it's interesting to see how acurate the horoscope is proving to be.

At 11:52 PM, Blogger ffleur said...

Thanks Kathleen. I read the horoscope plus a few letters re: Wonkette not printed more panda stuff and wondered if one of them was you hmmm?
